ValWood: innovative sustainable Land Use

ValWood is a cooperative project between Germany and China. The project is funded by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research.

The aims of the project are the development of an innovative sustainable land use concept adapted to the specific conditions of China and Germany, which is an alternative to the active afforestation, reforestation and landscape restoration of formerly agricultural land as well as secondary and degraded forest land. Sampling plots are in the three chinese provinces Guangxi, Sichuan and Zhejiang.
